About
The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport falls under the umbrella of the Arab League of Nations. After the academy’s establishment in 1972 in the city of Alexandria, Egypt, it expanded into Cairo. Throughout its established history of more than forty years, AASTMT has a proven track record in the spheres of maritime transport, engineering, and management sciences. These achievements have led the academy to constantly move forward, occupying a leading, world-wide rank on the list of educational institutions. The academy takes pride in being a top educational institute in the Middle East to offer a variety of majors and programs that suit the international realm of studies.

Academic Requirements
- Number of years should not be less than 12 academic years (or spending three years after passing Preparatory School Certificate).
• Prerequisites qualifying curriculum (courses) of study programs for joining varied specializations.
• Passing obligatory subjects (Arabic, Religion & national education) of the Ministry of Education.College of Maritime and Technology:
• IGCSE: 8 “O” Levels with minimum grade “C” + AS or AL (Math or Physics or Chemistry or Biology) with minimum grade “D”.
College of Engineering and Technology:
•IGCSE: 8 “O” Levels with minimum grade “C” + AS or AL (Math) with minimum grade “D”.
College of Computing and Information Technology:
- IGCSE: 8 “O” Levels with minimum grade “C” + AS or AL (Math or Physics or Chemistry or Biology) with minimum grade “D”.
College of Fisheries Technology and Aquaculture:
•IGCSE: 8 “O” Levels with minimum grade “C” + AS or AL (Math or Physics or Chemistry or Biology) with minimum grade “D”.
College of Pharmacy / College of Oral & Dental Medicine::

Fees
AASTMT students pay their fees according to their overall percentage in High School and are mainly divided into 3 main categories (A, B, C) as follows:
Category A: Engineering >=95 for all other majors >=90
Category B: Engineering >=85 for all other majors >=80
Category C: Engineering < 85 for all other majors < 80
Egyptian students with a high school certificate from the Arab Republic of Egypt are allowed to pay the tuition fees in Egyptian pounds according to dollar rate determined by the academy

Admission
Matriculation Requirements:
- Holder of the High School (ThanawiyaAmma) certificate or any equivalent certificate
- Medical fitness for the Nautical, Marine Engineering and Fisheries Technology departments.
- The student must not exceed 22 years (for Egyptians) at the beginning of classes and must declare his military conscription status
- Sitting for the English Placement Test is a must
- The student in the Marine Engineering Technology can complete their studies to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering after the fifth semester if they have met the requirements of admission in the College of Engineering and Technology.
Enrolment Documents and Fees:
- An official extract according to the type of the student’s certificate:
- High School (ThanawiyyaAmma): A certificate, or an official extract, of successful completion of High School (ThanawiyyaAmma)
- American Diploma: A certificate of grades of the tenth, eleventh and twelfth years with 12 years of schooling (official transcript)
- IGCSE: Certificates of three years after the ninth grade
- Certificate of successful completion of courses in all equivalent certificates (Abitur French Baccalaureate – the International Baccalaureate – the Canadian Baccalaureate)
- Birth certificate or an official document
- A copy of ID card or passport
- A copy of parent’s / guardian’s ID card or passport
- Four personal Photos (6 x 4)
- Payment of $ 200 as submission and enrollment fees (Non-refundable)
- Mental and physical medical Certificate.
- A letter of embassy approval of the student’s admission to the Academy. This is a must for students whose embassies require that approval (such as Saudi Arabia– Kuwait – the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Oman- Qatar)
