This syllabus is constructed to develop the students’ understanding of business activity in both the public and private sectors, as well as the importance of innovation and change. Students will also explore how major business organizations are established, financed, and how their activities are organized and run. Students will learn about the essential values of cooperation and interdependence. Besides various business concepts and techniques, students will enhance related skills such as numeracy and inquiry. This syllabus is a good foundation for students who wish to pursue the syllabus for Cambridge International A Level as well as the field as a career.
Candidates are expected to sit for two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2, each worth 80 marks and 50% of the total grade. Paper 1 consists of four questions that requires students to answer in a mixture of short answers and structured data. Paper 2 also consists of four questions, but are based on a case study provided.
Candidates are able to sit for these exams during June and November examination sessions.
