Advanced level Mathematics Edexcel

This syllabus is designed to build on the skills and knowledge gained in the IGCSE level of the subject. The syllabus is divided into two levels: Advanced Subsidiary and Advanced GCE. Students are able to choose to finish one level or both. It is also further divided into various units where students are able to choose between studying mechanics and statistics in order to complete this subject.

In order to complete the AS level, students are required to take two compulsory units: Core Mathematics 1 and 2 (C1 and C2) and choose one optional unit: Mechanics 1 (M1) or Statistics 1 (S1).51ifxtXxPXL._SY344_BO1,204,203,200_

In order to complete the full Advanced Level of this subject, the students are required to finish 4 compulsory units (C1, C2, C3, and C4), and choose two further units (M1 and M2, OR M1 and S1, OR S1 and S2).

Each of these components is assessed through one written paper that is worth 33.3% if taken at the AS Level, or 16.67% if taken at the complete Advanced Level.
